Yeah! I'm back from penang! It was a five day family trip, plus another day at Aunty Jane's house. It felt really good to go on a holiday without having worry about homework and all that! haha. hmm...but this time I had to worry about the PAE posting results...sigh. It was only the second morning and I was already holding my phone and waiting for 'the message' to come through. Though I half-expected it already, I can't deny that I was a wee-bit disappointed. :( hmmm...I'm just praying really hard that my O Level results will be much much better! PLease make them better, God!
The trip was really enjoyable overall. :D Got to spend time with my aunties and cousins, something that I won't get to do often once school starts. The car trips were especially fun...mostly because that I wasn't the one driving! haha.
Day One: Reached the penang resort at almost eleven something. Was really tired by then...
Day Two: We went a-shopping at Gurney plaza. The food at the foodcourt was quite horrible but luckily, the shops were ok! I managed to get a pale yellow blouse at Factory Outlet Store. For dinner, we went to my mom's fifth uncle's zhi-char shop. Guess what, it's called Golden Fishpond Restaurant! Such a cute name!
Day Three: We woke up really early to go to the beach. And did a lot of 'writings' on the sand. (photos coming up in a moment!) Then we went to Loong Nam to buy biscuits or to 'mai beang'. But we reached the shop only to find that they moved! Luckily but biao yi's husband know where the new place was, if not it would have had been a wasted trip! We went to eat chendol too. Though I'm not a big fan of chendol, it tasted nice. It's a roadside stall that's really famous - even Phuse Chu Kang and Rosie, Adrain pang and Michelle Chia had been there before! After that, we went to Ghee Hiang to but tau sar pneah <-- that's how they spell it.
We had dinner downstairs, at the resort. The food was nice, espcially the fish and fired prawns! We sat next to a group of Japanese tourists. I could even catch parts of their conversation! I was os thrilled! Oh how I wish I can go to Japan!
hmmm..maybe I'll go to New York for Julliard first tehn to Japan to perform and tour for a few months...haha! Just a dream! ;)
Day Four: We left Penang today. Teh scenert along the way was really beautiful. All the mountains and fog was such a relief from the grss-patches-against-buildings scenert we see in singapore. After a really long drive, we reached Kl and had luch at this shop that sells la jiao ban mian. Of course, I couldn't eat it, tried some from Jie jie's but woah, it sure was spicy! I think it's quite famous cos there were like a lot of people eating it...it's like korean zha jiang mian. Cos it was only for one night, we stayed at this budget hotl. It's our first time staying at one, but Jie jie doesn't seem to be able to stand it already! haha. Yp, of course, it's nowhere near to a 'real' hotel, but aiya, it's only for a night. It's not like we're gonna stay on the hotel for the whole day..we're going shopping!
We went shopping at Mid-Valey which is this Mega Mall that has like Noth, South and central courts. Had dinner a Sushi King. But I think cos it was kind of rushed, I did'y enjoy it very much. Plus, the california roll had fried fish skin in it which tasted disgusting... :( But I still managed to get this cute elephant pencil case! Yeah! :D The shops that were quite high-end so we didn't get any clothes...
Day Five: Uncle Hoe brought us to Sogo to shop and I had a big haul! So now, I've got four shirts in total for my New Year Wardrobe! :D heehee. Though maybe compared to other people, it might not be much, it's enough for me. I'm happy enough!
Thank God for keeping all of safe throughout this whole trip. And for bring us safely back home. Thank you for blessing me with my family. Lord, thank you for all the blessings! :D ( Including the EAGLES award!)
changeme.
